The National Tennis Center located in Nicosia was built in 2001 with a total construction cost of approximately €1,500,000. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the President of the International Tennis Federation, the President of the European Tennis Federation, representatives of the Cyprus Sports Authorities and other stakeholders.

At that time, four clay courts were constructed. The central court has a capacity of 2000 spectators, thus offering, for the first time, the possibility for tennis in Cyprus to become a sport open to the public.

There is also a cafeteria, small gym, offices, changing rooms and a large multipurpose room that is currently used for various CTF activities.

The surface of the courts was reconstructed in 2008 with "Plexipave" acrylic material. The courts are used daily for training national team athletes and other elite tennis players, as well as for Davies Cup championships, National Championships and other international events.
